Challenge 89 wins Regionals and heads to the United States Youth Soccer National Championships July 22-27.  Challenge 92 came in second losing to Sting 92 in Penalty Kicks, and Challenge 90 lost in the Quarterfinals.  Challenge 89 won the United States Youth Soccer Southern Regional tournament in dominating fashion.  The team got off to a slow start in the first game against the Tennessee State Champion with a tie, 0-0.  The team dominated play but could not find the back of the net in the first game.  The team did not look back after that.  Over the next four games the team scored 15 goals and only allowed 1.   They beat two teams from Louisiana, one from Oklahoma, and a Georgia team in the final.  After making it to the Regional Final last year and losing, the team was not going to be denied this year.  They are looking forward to the opportunity to compete for the National Championship in Little Rock Arkansas in July.
Challenge 92 lost a tough game to Sting 92 in Penalties.  The game was tied 0-0 at the end of regulation time and overtime.  This is the second time in 3 years that the team has finished second.  The team played very well and has a lot to be proud of.  They beat some great teams on there way to the final.  These kids have another 3 chances to win Regionals and we are confident they will have the opportunity in the future to compete for a National Championship.
Challenge 90 lost a hard fought game to Edmond Soccer Club in the Quarter Finals, 2-1.  The team came in second in their group with 2 wins and a tie.  They tied eventual winner Sting 90 in the second game of the tournament in a great game that ended, 0-0.  Challenge 90 has won 8 State Championships and has one more year to compete for a Regional and National Championship.  All of the players are off to college next year.  We wish them luck in their upcoming college season, and we look forward to getting them back next summer to go for another State Title, and hopefully win a Regional and National Championship.
