Q: What is THE IV ‘09?
A: THE IV ‘09 is a nationally recognized showcase tournament designed to promote the highest level of competition available in youth soccer. Each year this event runs in conjunction with the NCAA Division I Women’s Soccer College Cup.
Q: How does my team apply?
A: Applications must be filled out online through the Challenge Soccer Club website. Click
here to apply now. Once received, your application will be reviewed by THE IV ’09 TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE and determinations regarding acceptance will be made and communicated to you as soon as possible.
Q: What is the deadline to apply for the tournament?
A: The deadline to apply to THE IV ’09 is November 2, 2009. Teams are accepted on a rolling basis.
Q: Where do we get updated information in case of inclement weather?
A: In case of inclement weather, instructions will be given at the Tournament Headquarters tent at each park, and posted on the Challenge weather/information line at 281-397-2166. Please designate only one person from your team to contact the Headquarters Tent or weather/information line for changes due to weather. Updated information will also be available on the Challenge Soccer Club website.
Q: How do we get tickets to the College Cup games?
A: U15-U18 teams will receive 20 "all session" ticket packages which are good for both semifinal matches on Friday, December 4
th and the final on Sunday, December 6
th. U13-U14 teams will receive 20 tickets to the final match only (U11-U12 8v8 teams will receive 15 tickets to the final only). Additional tickets can be purchased in advance from Challenge. We will email information to accepted teams and post additional information on our website as it becomes available.

Q: When do games begin?
A: U15-U18: Games will start at 8:00am on Friday, December 4th and conclude mid-afternoon on Sunday, December 6th.
U11-U14: Games will begin at 8:00am on Saturday, December 5th and conclude mid-afternoon on Sunday, December 6th.
Q: When will the schedule be posted?
A: The schedule will be posted approximately 10 days prior event. Please check the Challenge Soccer Club website for schedule changes.
Q: What happens in case of injury?
A: There will be medical trainers at each individual site to address any medical issues. If a player needs to be taped prior to playing they should bring their own tape or there will be a $5 charge.
Q: I’ve lost (or found) something at the tournament what should I do?
A: Check with the Tournament Headquarters tent located at each site.
Q: How many college coaches attend?
A: When Challenge hosted this event in 2007 over 250 college coaches from NCAA Division One, Division Two, Three and NAIA schools attended.
