Challenge Texans Academy Program
Challenge Soccer Club and Texans Soccer Club have joined with Klein Soccer Club to create CTAP. CTAP is broken into three developmental levels in order to provide the best opportunities for players of all ages and abilities.

STRUCTURE
STAGE ONE: FIRST KIX PROGRAM U4 – U6
- No more than 10:1 player to coach ratio for training
- Introductory Level Training: Fun with Ball, Development of Coordination and Mobility
- Players can still play Recreational Soccer
- Mid September to Mid November
STAGE TWO: TECHNICAL TRAINING PROGRAM U7 - U8
- No more than 16:1 player to coach ratio for training
- Mastering the Ball, Development of Technical Skills and Problem Solving
- Players can still play Recreational Soccer
- Mid September to Mid November
STAGE THREE: CTAP SOCCER LEAGUE U8 - U10
- No more than 16:1 player to coach ration for training
- Advanced Technical Training and League Play: Mastering the Ball, Intro to Small Sided Tactical Instruction (2v1, 3v2)
- League games ASL or PDF League Games
Academy Soccer League (ASL): This league is run by CTAP. Games will be at Meyer Park or Burroughs Park on Saturdays from mid August to late December and will be coached by professional staff members.
Player Development Friendlies (PDF): This league is a partnership between clubs across Houston and is for more advanced players. These games are played on Sundays at parks across the city.
All training sessions are supervised and taught by professional coaches according to the Academy curriculum. There are two seasons. The fall season runs from August to November. The spring season runs from January to May. In addition, during the “off season”, players can participate in the CTAP summer program locally. '
