Challenge Families,

We are excited to announce that Houston Methodist Willowbrook will begin injury clinics on the following Mondays at Burroughs Park from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. Any Challenge player can be evaluated for free by one of our trusted Athletic trainers. Parents will need to be present for the evaluation. 

The trainer will set up near our building at Burroughs Park.  9/29, 10/6, 10/13, 10/20, 10/27, 11/3, 11/10, 11/17, and 12/8.

Methodist has always provided free injury assessment for our players, but this on-site presence will make it easier for many of you. Players from all our locations are welcome to come to Burroughs to be evaluated.

In most cases, they will be able to access the injury and provide a plan to manage the injury and return to play without sending you to a doctor. 

If they think you need a doctor, we have an incredible group of family practitioners who specialize in sports medicine, and an outstanding group or orthopedic surgeons. You are not required to see our doctors to take advantage of the free assessment from the trainer. 

More about Methodist and their people: Dr. Rand leads a fellowship program for Methodist training family Doctors in sports medicine. They use our events as part of their training. He and his team also work with many of the schools in the area and World Champions Center Gymnastics home of Simone Biles. If Orthopedics are needed Methodist has an incredible team of Dr. that can assist as well. 

We have worked with Dwight Adsit and his staff of trainers for over 25 years. They are simply the best. They assist most of the schools in Tomball, Klein and Cypress areas. 

If you have been injured in training or in a game, Challenge Soccer Club recommends the following process for evaluation, care and rehabilitation through our medical partners at Houston Methodist Willowbrook.

Houston Methodist Willowbrook can provide:

·         Evaluation & treatment of injuries

·         Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation

·         Concussion management

·         Same day appointments

For a free evaluation of an injury by a Licensed Athletic Trainer, players or parents should call 281-737-2120 to make an appointment. Please tell them you are a Challenge Soccer Club.

If after the evaluation the medical staff feels the athlete needs to see a doctor, the Athletic Trainer can assist the family with scheduling an appointment with the appropriate physician of their choice.  If the family chooses to use Houston Methodist Orthopedic and Sports Medicine physicians a same day appointment can usually be scheduled in most cases. Our physicians accept most health insurance plans.  The office staff will be happy to assist and answer any questions you may have.
