Thanks for attending the 2007 Texas Shootout!

We just wanted to thank all of you for your participation in the Shootout. I hope that you and your teams had a wonderful time while visiting us here in Houston.  Without you, this tournament would not be the success that it is.  The founders of Challenge Soccer Club first created this tournament with the idea that they could showcase the local talent to 5 or 6 college coaches.  Now, 20 years later, we have over 300 teams participating from all over the country and over 360 college coaches in attendance! A lot goes into coordinating travel plans for entire teams and most of the time it goes unrecognized.  So be sure to tell your travel coordinators and managers THANK YOU for working so hard in getting the teams down here from all over the U.S.  Those individuals are special people within everyone’s organization.

The Texas Shootout would not be possible without our sponsors.  Special thanks goes out to Tom Dolan and the doctors and trainers at Texas Sports Medicine Center.  They are the ones that were constantly taping ankles, passing out ice packs, and diagnosing injuries throughout the weekend.  Typically, they were the ones that were first to the park and last to leave.  In my opinion, they provide a service to our club that is unmatched in the country.  Thanks to all of you at TSMC.  www.tsmc.org

We would also like to thank adidas and Gatorade for their contribution to the tournament.  Both of them have been key sponsors over the years providing product, banners, staff shirts, etc. We are fortunate to have such great corporations on our team.

I would also like to recognize all of our volunteers and the great job that they did over the weekend.  I cannot possibly list all of their names but you all know who you are.  The tournament’s ultimate success is dependant on the volunteers that help run it.  So thanks for the great job!

We hope to see all of you next year.  The weekend will be the same.  So mark it down.  It is the weekend AFTER Memorial Day.  May 30th – June 1st.

The 20th annual TEXAS SHOOTOUT will be held Friday, June 1st 2007, Saturday, June 2nd 2007, and Sunday, June 3rd 2007. The SHOOTOUT has become the major kickoff to the new recruiting year. Last year more than 300 coaches attended the SHOOTOUT to begin their recruiting season.

The objective of the SHOOTOUT is to draw college coaches to witness outstanding soccer. Games will be scheduled to create the best possible matches to showcase players and teams in tough, exciting competition. U16 and older teams, as well as select U15 teams will each play three regulation matches at Meyer Park – one on each Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There will be Regional ODP, State ODP, and top clubs from all over the country.

U11 through U14 teams, as well as some U15 teams, will play four games each throughout the three day event.

    You are not automatically accepted into the tournament by filling out the application. Your application is reviewed by our staff to ensure that all teams meet the tournament standards. An email notification is sent to your team indicting your acceptance status within a few weeks of receiving the application.
    Fee: $400.00 for U14 and younger,
    $750.00 or $400.00 for U15,
    and $750.00 for U16 and older.
  • Team Administration
    Use the username and password entered on the application to check your acceptance status. Once accepted into the tournament you will provide us with your travel information, hotel information, place orders for t-shirts, dinner tickets, and for U15 and older teams provide player profiles using this link.
