National Signing Day - 40 Challenge Soccer Club Players Committed to Play in College

SPRING, Texas (February 7, 2018) – Challenge Soccer Club of Houston, Texas, a nationally recognized select soccer club for girls, is proud to announce the scholarship and letter of intent signings of 40 players with major NCAA Division 1, 2, 3, NAIA, and NJCAA colleges and universities across the country on February 7, the first day of national signing. Challenge expects up to another 10 players to make college decisions within the next month and will have well over 70% of our 56 total graduates pursuing college soccer, the most in Houston.
Players graduating from Challenge 99/00 ECNL, Challenge 99/00, Challenge 99/00 Red, Challenge 99/00 South and Challenge 00 Cypress have enjoyed tremendous success over the years, competing in the Elite Clubs National League, United Soccer Clubs Champions League, State Classic League and Eastern District Division 1.
This group of incredibly talented seniors has been recognized nationally with 1 graduate (Chaylyn Hubbard) representing the United States National Team, one representing the Republic of Northern Ireland National Team (Megan Reilly), and with many others having been named to the ECNL PDP regional events as well as High School All District, All Region and All State Teams.
Once again, Challenge leads the way through South Texas in pure numbers of female players pursuing college soccer. This incredible number of commitments reflects the dedication of Challenge Soccer Club to assist in providing opportunities for female players to pursue not only collegiate soccer, but also higher education. In the last five years alone Challenge has graduated nearly 300 players with over 200 of those choosing to pursue college soccer; numbers far exceeding any other club in Houston.
Methodist Hospital Willowbrook will be hosting a “Senior Night” for these extraordinary players, families and coaches, on February 7th from 7 – 10pm, at their facility on Highway 249. Player presentation, signings, catered dinner and video presentations will commence at 7:00 with photos and interviews available afterward. Media is invited and encouraged to join us for a special evening of pride and appreciation.
